This one is part online but mostly a strong suggestion to go out and see an exhibition. Yes, in person. Outside. Away from your computer. The James Cohen Gallery (New York) is holding an exhibition of Simon Evans titled Island Time. Simon Evans uses mainly pen, paper, scotch tape, white out and wood to create his pieces that range from illustrations, mix cd covers, sculptures and posters. Beautiful, intricute details and hand typography create a balance between craftmanship and Simon’s messages that deal a lot with consumerism. Island Time ends on April 4, 2009.
